Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine faculty are required to participate in at least 6-hours of faculty development related to teaching (FDT) during the 3-year maintenance of appointment cycle. TEACH offers many opportunities to achieve these hours through live sessions and archived content related to teaching and education. Eligible archived video sessions are clearly marked on the TEACH page with instructions for documenting completion. Please use the document below to help guide you in what counts and what doesn’t toward the FDT requirement.
