Setting up your PID which will allow you to generate a vt.edu email address. This email address is essential to gain access to all VT resources including the library and Canvas portal.
You can create your PID through the Generate Your PID page (https://onboard.it.vt.edu/idnum). You will need to enter your VT ID#. This is your unique university 90 number, if you do not know your VT ID# you can get this information by contacting VTCSOM Faculty Affairs at vtcsomfaculty@vt.edu or 540-526-2085.
Your PID and password grant you access to your Virginia Tech email, employee portals (Hokie Spa & My VT), the university library databases, Zoom, and more. Additionally, PID is your email (PID@vt.edu), and therefore please choose carefully because you cannot change it once it is established.
